Tetons

Tetons

2008 - After traveling though Yellowstone National Park the previous day, I ended up in Teton National Park during a storm front that pretty much washed the whole day out as far as decent photography. Late in the afternoon I was trying to decide whether or not to head on home to get ready for my first outdoor art show. I decided to wait and see what developed(aka being lazy) and parked at the Snake River overlook. After a while I noticed one little spot of sunshine opening up to the left of the Teton peaks in this view. Pretty soon it became a God-ray and drifted far to the right of the peaks, illuminating the valley. I had about 45 minutes to work with it. This was definitely a gift that I hope makes Ansel just a little bit jealous.
