2006 - Shooting on the road and hill towards the Santa Fe ski area in October, I spotted this tree and thought the leafless branches were striking.  I'm attracted to big flowing, leafless trees and this image is a bit of an oddball for me.  It looked meak and lonely(hence the name).  The sky was mostly clear this cold(around 25 degrees) morning and when I saw the clouds passing behind the tree, I thought I had found the image I was looking for.  This was taken in the same area as the capture of Big Tesuque Sunrise.
